El exvicepresidente de Ecuador Jorge Glas denunció hoy en una audiencia judicial tratos crueles, inhumanos y degradantes en la prisión donde se encuentra detenido y afirmó que esas condiciones provocaron deterioro de su salud.
Este viernes, el exvicemandatario compareció vía telemática desde la Cárcel del Encuentro, en la provincia de Santa Elena, donde se encuentra desde el pasado 10 de noviembre, en la audiencia de hábeas corpus solicitada por su defensa para pedir su traslado a un hospital.

Goiás – Southern Goiás, near the borders of Minas Gerais and Mato Grosso do Sul, will experience intense heat. Itumbiara will reach 34 °C. No chance of rain.
Minas Gerais – Intense heat in the Triângulo Mineiro region. Temperatures in Uberlândia should reach 33 ºC. No rain.
Mato Grosso do Sul – Heat reaches the east of the state. Temperatures in Três Lagoas will reach 36 ºC. No chance of rain.
Paraná – The northwest and central areas of the state can expect intense heat. The temperature in Curitiba, the state capital, will reach 31 °C. There is a chance of isolated showers in the afternoon. Londrina will see temperatures of 34 °C with a chance of rain and thunderstorms.
Santa Catarina – The severe weather warning also applies to northern Santa Catarina, reaching the city of Joinville, where temperatures may reach 32 °C.

La Policía francesa ha detenido al hombre que este viernes hirió a tres mujeres con un cuchillo en un convoy de la línea 3 del metro de París, informaron las autoridades.
Tras darse a la fuga, la Policía puso en marcha una operación para capturar al sospechoso, que finalmente fue arrestado en su domicilio, en Sarcelles, al noreste de la capital francesa.
De acuerdo con el diario Le Figaro, las tres mujeres resultaron heridas de carácter leve, aunque sufrieron un fuerte shock emocional.
Un trabajador por cuenta propia (TCP) en el municipio de Boyeros, de esta capital, fue denunciado por el periodista Carlos Manuel Serpa Maceira desde su perfil en Facebook por negarse a recibir billetes de cinco pesos cubanos (CUP), lo que provocó inconformidad entre clientes y cuestionamientos sobre el cumplimiento de las normas financieras vigentes.

La Agencia Italiana de Cooperación para el Desarrollo (Aics) destaca la importancia de la asistencia destinada por este país a Cuba para apoyar el Plan de Respuesta al Huracán Melissa, coordinado por Naciones Unidas, señala hoy un comunicado.
Una nota publicada en el sitio oficial de esa agencia resalta que Italia confirmó su colaboración con Cuba y el sistema multilateral con el aporte, a través de esa entidad, de 200 mil euros, para apoyar las intervenciones más urgentes de dicho plan, el cual requiere un financiamiento total por 74,2 millones de dólares.

In a report published on the G1 website, journalist Andréia Sadi attributes to the current director of the Federal Police, Andrei Rodrigues, the information that Vasques left Brazil without judicial authorization after breaking his ankle tag. When approached and arrested by Paraguayan authorities, Vasques reportedly had an original Paraguayan passport with false personal information.
